The 1st graders stole the show with their “Dogs” chant. All of the kids had a great time. The kids were awesome and a great reminder on why is great to be a cop.

Here's a pic of our Benny living his best life at Abia Judd! 🐾

We are grateful for the time Prescott Police Department was able to spend time with Abia Judd students during their Hereos Luncheon on 9/11.

As you can see Benny loved it just as much as we did!

Cooper and Benny spent the day visiting the local schools and paying their respects to all of the fallen heros. The kids were so kind and respectful. Their hand written letters were adorable. The support of the community is amazing. Try this in a small town

Benny is headed to the pool after a busy week in the tri-city area which resulted in 8 people arrested for a total of 16 felonies. One of which was a K9 alert to a vehicle. Where 3.5g of methamphetamine was located. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the driver was involved in a prostitution ring. Narcotics Detectives, Prescott PD Patrol and Prescott Detectives located the other suspects to include the pimp.

Another way to support the Prescott Police K9 Unit and a local business at the same time. It’s no secret Preskitt's Pawz N Clawz is a huge supporter of our grant and donation funded unit. They graciously carry our shirts, k9’s and now you can get Cooper’s card there. Stop in and say hi.

As many of you saw we had the privilege to welcoming about 70 dog teams to the Prescott area. Thanks to the Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association for always hosting great training. The Northern Arizona VA Health Care System for allowing us to use some of their facilities for a multiple agency scenario which members of the Scottsdale Police Department K9 Unit instructed the handlers as they worked through the scenario. Also thanks to the Yavapai Collegeand Yavapai College Campus Safety for allowing the two day take over of their campus without their support we would not be able to make Prescott the home of the annual Survival Seminar.

Would like to thank Findlay Subaru Prescott for their continued support of the Prescott Police K9 Unit . Every Friday they wear their custom Findlay Subaru blue PPD K9 supporters shirts. Their staff is amazing and so accommodating when we show up. Wearing these shirts brings awareness to our K9 Unit since we are donation and grant funded. They just got a restock of shirts if your interested stop by.

Thank you Findlay Subaru

Tyler, wishing you many "Miles of Smiles" and congratulations on your 2023 SUBARU WRX! All the best, Findlay Subaru Prescott and Rebecca Mcclure.

Cooper and Benny are proud of their cousin Loki. Loki has been training hard and all of that hard work paid off on I40 for his first of many deployments. Congratulations to Yavapai County Sheriff's Office the signs are looking good thanks to Sergeants First Class Flags

THE ADVENTURES OF LOKI
NEWEST MEMBER OF THE K-9 UNIT MAKES HIS FIRST ARREST. MISSES OUT ON PIZZA WITH KIDS.

On June 20th, K9 deputy Loki and his partner Deputy C. conducted a traffic stop on I-40 eastbound near Ash Fork, Arizona just before 8 am. The deputy, sitting in a marked car, noticed a vehicle traveling too fast and dangerously too close to the car in front of it, so he pulled the vehicle over. There was a passenger and two children in the car with the driver.

While asking the driver and the passenger questions about their travels, the answers were contradictory and the driver was unable to give consistent answers, therefore raising the Deputy’s suspicions. When asked if there were any illegal drugs in the vehicle, the passenger answered no, but the suspicious behavior of both adults triggered Deputy C. to have his partner Loki use “his world-class sniffer” on the car.

Loki’s response was “According to my senses, I believe there to be illegal narcotics in this vehicle”. Narcotics were in fact found in the car – 2.2 pounds of co***ne and1000 Adderall pills, and one handgun - prompting Loki to say that he “would now like recognition as the best K9 deputy in YCSO”. Deputy C. reminded Loki that one success did not make him the best, but in typical Loki fashion, he shrugged off the comment and took a selfie with his cache.

The two men were arrested for transportation of a narcotic (co***ne) drug for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, transportation of a dangerous drug for sale and child abuse.

Deputy C. took the two children, approximately 7 and 8 years old out for pizza while they waited for the Department of Child Services to return the boys to family members.

Loki, having to continue working, showed up to his shift the next day with a shirt that reads “I made a drug bust, but all I got was this lousy t-shirt and not the pizza I deserved”. Maybe next time Loki. Maybe next time.
