For those of you that forgotten, that is “rain” coming from the sky and it will make your tires less effective when you smash the brake pedal. Slow it down, increase your distances and enjoy the precious precipitation!

The Prattville Lions' first home game of the season is tonight versus Tuscaloosa County Wildcats at Stanley-Jensen Stadium! Make sure to arrive early for good parking and abide by parking restrictions and for traffic flow after the game. Any students who are in the stadium are still subject to school standards for behavior and anyone will be escorted out expeditiously if any problems arise. All children must have a parent present, and the clear bag policy will be enforced. See the information below. Let's all have a great game tonight and Go Lions!

Anything even remotely suspected to be a threat to our schools will be treated as such, with criminal prosecution. Parents, talk to your children about this and that following others is just as dangerous.

PARENTS, TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT’S TRENDING ONLINE 🚨

A disturbing social media trend using AI-generated “Cat in the Hat” images and videos is spreading, including content that can be threatening or intimidating.

Even when shared as a joke, threats are taken seriously.

📱 Talk to your kids about what they see online.
🚫 Don’t share or repost threatening content.
👮 If you see something concerning, say something and report it.

A few seconds of awareness can help keep our community safe.

Over the summer, the Prattville Police Department's Community Relations/School Resource Officer (SRO) Unit partnered with Autauga County Schools and Daniel Pratt Elementary to make sure our kids are staying involved in education through reading. 16 students participated in a n incentivized reading program, requiring each student to read at least 10 chapter books each, which they completely blew out of the water! Recently, an end of the program celebration was held where the top two readers were awarded with gift cards and all the kids who participated were treated to a pizza party! Everyone had a great time reading (and eating pizza) with our SRO's LT. C. Emmanuel and OFF. L. McDuffie. Give these kids a big round of applause and look out for similar programs through your local schools in the future!
