While I am not currently running, I would suggest that the voters of the third district take a look at what has happened in the last month or so. I am not saying that the brave and under respected first responders don't need or deserve up to date facilities. Some of our citizens were called naysayers for having questions about the "necessity" of spending over $7 million on a project that could be brought in for a lot less. I know that the project could be completed for a lot less and the remaining funds could go towards other projects that our current comissioners say we do not have the funds for. A current commissioner suggested that the windfarm money was not taxpayer money; therefore, why should the tax payers be concerned with how it is spent. I would like to remind everyone what the windfarm "Pilot" funds were. PILOT stands for Payment In Lieu Of Taxes. So in a sense the windfarm money was in a way around to having to be a taxpayer. This money should be spent on infrastructure, schools, and/or tax cuts. You the voter have the ability to change how Pratt County is being led. I encourage everyone to vote in the upcoming primary election.
