Extreme heat poses all sorts of threats to pets. Food, water, and shelter are the main priorities, but grooming and leashing are also important.

Here are some tips to keep your best friend happy and healthy and to prevent heat stroke:

- Avoid leaving an animal in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes. 🚗
- Provide fresh, cool drinking water at all times. 💧
- Make sure outdoor kennels are shaded and well-ventilated. ☂️
- Avoid exercising pets on hot days or warm, humid nights. ☀️
- Groom your pet and help prevent skin problems. 🐕

IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY!

Help us celebrate our Lead Public Health Nurse, Lisa. Her dedication to healthcare reaches far beyond her daily work - it's her legacy. Her three daughters are nurses, with her youngest recently graduating and passing her RN boards. Lisa has set an example of compassion, caring, and clinical knowledge for these young women, and it has inspired them to follow in her professional footsteps. ❤️

Congratulations, Lisa!
