Volunteers Needed - 2026 Back to School Store!!

As we know, there is a steady - and growing - need for our support. We will once again fill backpacks with school supplies and provide clothing and coats for students to begin school.

Approximately 90 volunteers (ages 16 and older) are needed to transport, unpack and organize items from storage and fulfill orders that we receive from 12 participating agencies. These activities will take place over 12 shifts between July 14 and July 24. Please check your calendar and sign up for one (or more) slots that fit your schedule. Go to on our website to learn more and sign up.

NCJW encourages you to be a poll worker. Election officials across the country find it difficult to find individuals to work at the polls, but this work is crucial to the fair administration of elections. Poll worker duties include helping set up the polls, explaining voting procedures, assisting voters with voting machines, registering individuals to vote (if located in a same day registration state), verifying registrants, and closing the precinct at the end of the day. Contact your local county election office to sign up.
