Today, we’re wishing a very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, father figures, and the men who lead, protect, and serve both at home and in our community.

We also want to recognize the fathers in our department who may be spending today on shift, away from their families, while continuing to answer the call and serve others. Your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

Thank you to every dad who sets the example of strength, integrity, service, and love — both in uniform and out.

The Flood Watch for Waller County has been CANCELLED.

The threat for flooding in our area has ended, and with that the Flood Watch is being cancelled for these counties: Austin, Colorado, Grimes, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller and Washington.

"What now?": Shift your focus to the gulf and keep an eye on the potential for tropical cyclone development there. This could potentially bring heavy rainfall to portions of Southeast Texas, including Waller & Harris Counties.

🚨FLOOD WATCH🚨Remains in effect in Waller - Inland Harris (and surrounding) counties through Thursday Morning.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. There is an increased risk to lives and property due to flash flooding.

- Northern portions of the watch area have received 4 to 6 inches or greater of rainfall already. An additional 4-7 inches of rain is expected areawide, with totals of 10"+ through midweek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take
action should flooding develop.

Do not drive your vehicle or walk into areas where water covers the
roadway, as the water depth may be too great to allow you to cross
safely.

Stay weather aware and be alert for possible Flood Warnings,
particularly wireless emergency alert Flash Flood Warnings for
considerable and/or catastrophic flooding.

We are proud to celebrate our first Badge Pinning Ceremony at Waller-Harris ESD 200!

Fire Chief McDugle set the tone of today's ceremony with the reminder that the badge is a symbol of trust that our members will have the daily "opportunity to uphold.... through [their] actions , [their] character, and [their] dedication to serving others".

Congratulations to each of the members who were pinned during this special event. Your hard work, perseverance, and dedication have brought you to this milestone, and we are honored to recognize your achievement.

A heartfelt thank you to the families, friends, leadership, and all those who helped make this ceremony possible. Your support and encouragement play an important role in the success of our members.
