🚧 Station 43 Update! 👷‍♂️

Our anticipated move-in date of October 1 is quickly approaching! With just a few weeks remaining until our final walk-through, construction crews are working hard to put the finishing touches on the station.

Today, the dorm room lockers were moved in, and we’re excited to see each room begin to take shape. It won’t be long before Station 43 goes from a construction site to a home for some of our crews!

We’re looking forward to welcoming our firefighters to Station 43 and expanding our ability to provide top-notch service to the communities we proudly serve.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to opening the doors at Station 43! 🚒

Here's a closer look at Rescue Truck 271 🤩 We’re excited to see R271 out in the community and ready to serve when it matters most! 🫡🚒

This week, WHESD 200 crews completed more than 12 hours of hands-on training on our newest rescue apparatus, Rescue 271.

Led by our own Quartermaster Rodriguez and Metro's Josh Gustafson, firefighters trained extensively on the truck's specialized rescue equipment, including airbag lifting systems, vehicle stabilization techniques, and other critical rescue operations. This intensive training ensures every crew member is confident and proficient with the tools they'll use to save lives when seconds matter.

With the final class now complete, Rescue 271 is officially in service! 🚒

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this training a success. Continuous training and preparedness are at the heart of our commitment to providing the highest level of service to the Waller-Harris ESD 200 community.
