TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lee’s Landing Road is shut down in both directions near Huguenot Trail due to a large tree across the road. VDOT is being notified to assist with removal. Lee’s Landing Road will be shut down for an extended period of time.

UPDATE 6:45 p.m. The road has reopened.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Huguenot Trail is currently shut down in both directions in the 1500 block due to a serious accident. Please use alternate routes.

On Tuesday evening, Brush 704 and Tanker 704 responded to a brush fire in the eastern part of our district. Units cleared in about 90 minutes.

UPDATE 8:45 a.m.: Huguenot Trail has reopened in both directions.

Traffic Advisory: Huguenot Trail is closed in both directions just west of French Hill Drive. (Near Lucky’s) It’s a large tree and VDOT is already onsite removing it. The road will be closed for an extended period of time.

Here are some of the sights as the Police Unity Tour stopped at our station for their first rest break yesterday. The Tour arrives at the The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. tomorrow.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The Police Unity Tour is wrapping up their break. They will be headed west on Huguenot Trail to Maidens Road. Please exercise caution and patience if you are out and encounter the procession.

TRAFFIC ALERT FOR SUNDAY MAY 10th: The Police Unity Bike Tour will be coming through parts of Powhatan County on Sunday, May 10, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The procession of bicycles, es**rt vehicles and support vehicles will enter the county on Huguenot Trail proceeding west. The riders will be stopping at our station for their first rest stop. After the rest stop, riders will be leaving the station, headed west on Huguenot Trail. The procession will then go north on Maidens Road (Rt. 522). Drivers are reminded to exercise caution if they are driving on these roads in the morning. The mission of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty, and raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial.
