Poulsbo Middle School's Leadership class has been putting their skills to the test with student-led presentations on leadership qualities! 🌟

Recently, a group of students presented on Confidence. They kicked things off by asking classmates to write down what confidence means to them, then brought the concept to life when two students stepped up to perform karaoke in front of the class. From there, students broke into small groups for a round of charades, acting out activities drawn from a hat, with special guest group member Superintendent Davenport. The session wrapped up with a compliment circle, giving every student the chance to hear something kind from their peers — a meaningful way to help those who may be working on building their own confidence find something to feel good about.

It was a creative and thoughtful way to bring a leadership quality to life in the classroom.

Please join us in welcoming Brandy Drago as the new Assistant Principal at Poulsbo Middle School beginning July 1, 2026!

Ms. Drago brings nearly two decades of experience in education and a passion for building strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Her background includes instructional coaching, school improvement, family engagement, and supporting student success. She is committed to creating school environments where students feel connected, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Drago to the Panthers family and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students, staff, and school community. Her student-centered approach and commitment to helping every learner succeed make her a great addition to the Poulsbo Middle School team.

✨ CTE Highlight – STEM ✨

In today's spotlight, we're featuring Pre-Engineering at Poulsbo Middle School. Students were building air-powered cars from scratch, starting with a block of wood and using a range of skills — filing, band saw work, scraping, attaching, and sanding — to shape and assemble their vehicles. Once complete, the cars will go head to head in a competition.

This course, which introduces students to technology, computer basics, measuring, engineering drawing, electricity, simple machines, and design, connects to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Career Cluster, helping students explore pathways in engineering, manufacturing, and technical design.
