Labor Day is a time to recognize and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and contributions of the American workforce, the people who help keep our communities, businesses, families, county and country moving forward.

Enjoy the long weekend, spend time with family and friends, and please celebrate responsibly. Remember that getting home safely should always be part of the plan.

🎡 Fair Week 2026, that’s a wrap! 📸

A big thank you to our staff for all the time, planning and hard work that went into making this week happen!

We had so much fun being out in the community and getting in on the fair fun, from the opening ceremony and K9 demos, to Milkshakes with the Sheriff and 4-H, our booth with the Youth Cadets making Child IDs, and all the conversations, smiles and memories in between.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us and made Fair Week such a great one!

⭐️Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA Scholarship⭐️

Sheriff Imperati and the Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA are proud to support the next generation of leaders through our annual scholarship program. As a nonprofit organization representing the Deputies of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, the PBA is committed to advancing justice and supporting our members and community.

Through this scholarship, we hope to inspire more college students to pursue a career in law enforcement and make a positive difference in their communities.

Congratulations to Daniela Sanchez, this year’s recipient of the $650 Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA Scholarship!

We wish Daniela continued success in her education and future career!

Thank you to Jen Mensler and AAR Auctions for their generous donation of 350 backpacks for children in need.

Our 14 School Resource Officers will distribute the backpack throughout the county.

Tomorrow is the day!

We know you’re excited & we are too! Unfortunately... so is everyone else. 😂

So take a deep breath, give yourself some extra time, and remember… honking won’t make the line move faster, and no amount of tailgating will get you to the Ferris wheel sooner.

Slow down, stay patient, watch for pedestrians, and make safe choices behind the wheel.
