The Dutchess County Analysis and Real Time Crime Intelligence Center (ARTCIC) recently played a critical role in assisting law enforcement agencies in locating a suspect vehicle, leading to a traffic stop in the Town of Poughkeepsie that resulted in the recovery of three loaded illegal handguns and the arrest of four individuals.
Through proactive intelligence gathering, real-time analysis, and the rapid dissemination of actionable information to partnering law enforcement agencies, ARTCIC provided critical intelligence that assisted investigators and patrol officers throughout the incident. Over the past month alone, ARTCIC analysts have supplied real-time intelligence to officers in the field that has contributed to several successful investigations and criminal apprehensions.
ARTCIC operates through a partnership between the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office and serves as a force multiplier for law enforcement agencies throughout Dutchess County and beyond. By coordinating intelligence sharing among local, county, state, and federal partners, ARTCIC enhances situational awareness, strengthens investigative capabilities, and helps agencies respond quickly and effectively to criminal activity and emerging threats.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office remain committed to intelligence-led policing strategies and regional cooperation to help keep Dutchess County safe.
