Dear Peach Hill Park Peeps,
We wanted to take a moment, to thank all the people that donated, our volunteers, contractors and the Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation Department. Peach Hill Park is open because of them, the trails look great and this year’s apple crop is looking strong—it’s a wonderful time to visit the park!

As always, please keep an eye out while you’re on the trails. If you notice a fallen tree, damaged sign, or other issue, please let us know by emailing [email protected]. If you’re near one of our trail maps, including the map location number in your report is especially helpful.

We are pleased to share that, thanks to a community effort, Peach Hill Park has reopened.

Following the severe storm that caused significant damage throughout the park, tremendous progress has been made in clearing the trails and making the park safe for visitors. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation Department, our dedicated volunteers, and the skilled contractors who worked tirelessly to help restore the park. Their hard work and commitment made this reopening possible.

While the trails have been cleared, the clean up efforts are still underway. We ask everyone who visits the park to exercise caution. There may still be fallen branches, uneven footing, and other storm-related obstacles, and you may encounter volunteers or work crews continuing cleanup in various areas of the park.

Please stay on marked trails, be aware of your surroundings, and respect any temporary closures. Together, we can ensure that everyone enjoys Peach Hill Park safely while restoration continues.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for helping us care for this special place. We look forward to seeing you back on the trails.

We are working hard to clear the park and reopen it. We have already hired our mowing person to push much of the debris off the trails. Some volunteers and then the Town of Poughkeepsie will hopefully make more progress tomorrow. Any donation is very much appreciated to help with the efforts!

Dear Friend of Peach Hill Park,
As many of you know, the severe storm that passed through the Town of Poughkeepsie caused significant damage throughout the area. In Peach Hill Park numerous trees and large limbs have fallen across trails and other areas of the park, creating unsafe conditions.
After assessing the damage and in coordination with the Town of Poughkeepsie, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close Peach Hill Park until further notice.
Our first priority is the safety of everyone who enjoys the park. Before we can reopen, we need time to remove fallen trees, inspect trails, and ensure that the park is safe for visitors. We know this may be disappointing, but we appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work is completed.
Please respect the park closure and do not enter the park while cleanup is underway. Doing so could put you and the volunteers working in the park at risk.
We will provide updates as work progresses and will let everyone know as soon as the park is ready to welcome visitors again. We look forward to reopening the trails so everyone can safely enjoy the beautiful landscapes that make Peach Hill Park so special.

What a great, beautiful, windy day for our 7th Annual Run for the Hill of it! We had such a wonderful group of people take on the challenge of one of the most challenging 5K courses in Dutchess County with the some of the most spectacular views! Winner today was Henry C. At 18 min 33 sec! Great job everyone and thanks for supporting the Friends of Peach Hill. We use all the proceeds to maintain the trails in the park.
