Congratulations to all of the Youth Cadets on completing the 2025-2026 program year!🎉

We would like to thank all of the families and guests of honor who celebrated these inspiring youth with us at the Villa Borghese last night.

Kudos on your dedication and commitment to the program and your community. It’s inspiring watching young people make significant positive impacts in their local communities, all while simultaneously growing as individuals . 🙌

Today we celebrate Flag Day and the enduring symbol of our nation, the American flag.

For nearly 250 years, the Stars and Stripes have represented freedom, resilience, and the strength of our communities. As we serve and protect the residents of Dutchess County, we do so under the flag that unites us all.

Happy Flag Day from The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office!

As mentors, we are incredibly grateful to recognize two of our Youth Cadets for their outstanding commitment to service and community. Recently, they proudly completed more than eight miles of running in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, benefiting Special Olympics New York.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is celebrating 40 years of dedicated fundraising and advocacy for Special Olympics athletes. Since its inception, this remarkable movement has raised more than $1 billion worldwide, helping to create opportunities, inclusion, and support for countless individuals and families.

One of the most important lessons we strive to teach in youth leadership is the value of community, standing beside others, lifting up those who need support, and using our abilities to make a positive difference. These young leaders exemplified those principles through their willingness to serve a cause greater than themselves.

We extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation to these cadets for their dedication, compassion, and leadership.

We are proud to see them running alongside members of Dutchess County law enforcement, demonstrating that strong communities are built when people come together in service of others.

As always, great job cadets!🙏👍🙌

As we look to close out another incredible program year, we want to recognize the outstanding effort and determination our cadets demonstrated during last week’s physical fitness final.

While our mission is to introduce these young men and women to the standards and expectations required in the law enforcement profession, our greatest reward is witnessing their personal growth, resilience, and confidence develop throughout the year.

This group has built a strong bond that truly reflects teamwork, accountability, and encouragement. Watching them push one another through difficult challenges and step beyond their comfort zones has been nothing short of inspiring. Their commitment, perseverance, and willingness to give their best effort every step of the way has made us incredibly proud.

Seeing these cadets strive for personal excellence while motivating each other to succeed reminds us exactly why this program matters. The future is bright with leaders like these stepping forward.

With only one meeting remaining before our graduation ceremony on June 16th, we encourage everyone to finish strong and continue giving it their all.

Outstanding work, cadets! We couldn’t be prouder! 👍

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on their courage, service, and dedication to our country.

May we never forget those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We would like to recognize all of our former cadets, turned officers, as well as our Post Advisors, for their dedicated service to their local communities. May you all be safe 🙏🙏

This National Police Week, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office honors the men and women in law enforcement who serve our communities with courage, integrity, and dedication each day.

Behind the badge are individuals who answer the call at all hours, face challenges head-on, and remain committed to keeping others safe.

We also pause to remember the officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice and legacy will never be forgotten.

Thank you to all law enforcement officers for your continued service and commitment. 💙
