Spring/Summer Canvasing

As the seasons change and temperatures rise, Treasurer Linda Yeich and State Dog Warden Rich Hine would like to remind all dog owners that all dogs, aged 2 months and older, must be licensed as per Pennsylvania Dog Law. State regulations and guidelines may be found at PA's Dog Laws | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Our state dog warden will be joining several other wardens in conducting random community canvassing throughout Schuylkill County beginning mid-April and continuing throughout the spring and summer months.

Yearly licenses are valid through December 31, 2026 while lifetime licenses are valid for the life of the dog. Yearly licenses can be completed online by visiting https://www.padoglicense.com, in person, or through mail; while lifetime licenses must be completed through the Treasurer’s office either by mail or in person. A list of several dog licensing agents throughout the county, license applications, and fees can also be obtained on the treasury page, Welcome to Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

As a reminder, the fine for failure to comply with PA Dog Law can be up to $500 per unlicensed dog. Keep our furry friends safe and get them licensed today!
