As comes to a close, we'd like to thank our amazing community for supporting our students!

Our CTE programs thrive because of strong partnerships with local businesses and industry professionals. To keep providing our students with top-tier, real-world experiences, we need your help!

Are you looking to give back to the next generation of professionals? Here are two great ways to get involved:

📋 Join an Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC): Share your industry expertise to help us shape our curriculum, update our equipment, and ensure our students are learning the exact skills today's workforce demands.

🏢 Provide a Training Site: Host a student for a Co-op, Internship, or Job Shadow. This is an incredible opportunity to mentor a young professional and get a first look at emerging local talent!

Investing in our students today means building a stronger workforce for tomorrow.

Stay tuned for our upcoming CTE podcast series which is being produced by The Strive Initiative and hosted by our very own Pottstown High School students. The first episode will include Mr. Pascal our Work Based Learning Coordinator and several students who are currently working in the field, getting paid, and receiving high school credit for their work.

Why CTE? Graduate with more than just a diploma. 🎓✨

At PHS, our CTE students have the opportunity to earn Industry Certifications that employers actually look for. Our students are stepping into interviews already qualified and are often hired at a higher rate of pay due to their certifications.

But it’s not just about technical skills—it’s about leadership! Through CTSOs (Career and Technical Student Organizations), our students compete, lead, and network at regional and national events.

Real Skills. Real Credentials. Real Leadership.

Our CTE students have been busy! On Friday, 43 DECA students traveled to St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia to compete against other students in our region. Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, 18 students participated in SkillsUSA district competitions. As a result, we had a 2nd place and two 4th place DECA winners and three 2nd place and two 3rd place winners at SkillsUSA, one of whom also received a scholarship. Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) like DECA, SkillsUSA, HOSA, and FCCLA allow our students to demonstrate what they've learned in their CTE programs, teach important leadership skills, and provide them the opportunity to network, travel, win scholarships, and experience things they otherwise could only imagine. Thanks to our advisors for all the time you devote to our students! Congratulations to all the competitors. You're all winners in our book! John Armato

Shout-out to U.S. Axle and Mr. Ken Harrison, President/CEO, for hiring Colin, a senior from our Engineering program, in a co-op position. Colin is learning a lot and enjoying the opportunity to put his skills to work in a real-world, professional setting. We so appreciate our Work Based Learning partners! It takes a village, and we're glad U.S. Axle is part of ours!
