Base Repair Operations Begin Monday on Gilbertsville Road in Douglass, Upper Pottsgrove Townships
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that base repair operations will begin on Monday, April 13, on Gilbertsville Road in Douglass and Upper Pottsgrove townships, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
Monday, April 13, through Wednesday, April 22, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Gilbertsville Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Farmington Avenue and Route 73 (Philadelphia Avenue). During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Farmington Avenue/Maugers Mill Road, Route 663 (Charlotte Street), and Route 73 (Philadelphia Avenue).
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

TOWNSHIP MANAGER/TREASURER—Upper Pottsgrove Township (population 5,870), a First-Class Township in Montgomery County, PA, seeks an experienced leader and skilled communicator to serve as its Township Manager/Treasurer. Working closely with a five-member Board of Commissioners, the Manager/Treasurer provides hands-on leadership of all Township operations while serving as the primary liaison with staff, residents, and the community. The Manager/Treasurer administers an annual budget of approximately $4.1 million and oversees a staff of three full-time administrative employees, a Police Department of ten, and a Public Works crew of four.
Candidates should have (1) a minimum of three to five years of municipal management experience; (2) a strong background in strategic planning, capital improvement planning, and project management; (3) working knowledge of municipal finance and personnel/human resources management; (4) proven ability to build positive relationships with residents and community stakeholders; and (5) a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. The Board of Commissioners intends to remove the current ordinance requirement that the Manager reside within fifteen miles of the Township. Salary range $125,000 - $145,000 with excellent benefits; actual salary to be based on experience and qualifications.
