We got a tour of the former factory at 274 N. Hanover Street that is being redeveloped into 85 market-rate apartments by Dwight City Group.

Expected to be available by the end of this calendar year, the project represents meaningful adaptive reuse and new housing investment near downtown Pottstown. Bringing residents to this walkable corridor can help strengthen the local economy and support nearby businesses.

Montgomery County is looking toward 2030—and Pottstown is part of the momentum.

MONTCO Today highlights major projects and trends that could reshape the county, including the continued revitalization of walkable downtowns and progress toward restoring passenger rail between Reading and Philadelphia, with a proposed stop in Pottstown. The rail project still requires funding and additional federal review, but a newly signed agreement between Amtrak and the Schuylkill River Passenger Rail Authority marks an important step forward.
