‼️ATTENTION POTTSTOWN COMMUNITY‼️
We need your help at the Spray Park!!

When you visit the Fountain of Youth Spray Park in Memorial Park - please remember this is NOT a pool!
You CANNOT block the drains with clothing or towels to prevent water from going down and pool up around you.
That will make the entire pump system shut down and burn up and then no one gets to use the Spray Park for several weeks until it can be repaired for several thousand dollars. (yes THOUSAND $$$)

ADULTS -- please help to keep an eye on your children and others that may be around without a guardian present to ensure this is not happening.
Our crew found this very thing happening moments ago and fortunately prevented a pump failure within in minutes.

Thank you in advance for your help in keeping the Spray Park up and running for the season for everyone to enjoy on these hot summer days!

Last night we held our kickoff Play Streets event of the season at Po***ck Park. While we were there we also held the ribbon cutting ceremony for our newest park amenity - the soccer pitch at Po***ck Park! ⚽️🥅
Huge thanks to all that came out to help us celebrate this beautiful new addition to our parks system and we are very grateful to U.S. Soccer Foundation, Eastern Youth Soccer Association and Pottstown Regional Community Foundation for funding the project in part.

All aboard for a historic day in Downtown Pottstown! 🚂

On Thursday, July 2, 2026, Pottstown will welcome the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive for a 15-minute whistle stop as part of its America 250 journey.

The train is currently scheduled to stop at 3:30 PM, and thousands of visitors are expected to gather downtown to see this historic locomotive. The best public viewing area will be Borough Parking Lot 1, with food vendors located nearby along the Hanover Street closure area.

To support pedestrian safety and event activity, Hanover Street will be closed from Industrial Boulevard to High Street from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

While you’re downtown, we invite you to explore Pottstown’s local restaurants, shops, cafés, and small businesses. Let’s give visitors a warm Pottstown welcome and show off the energy, history, and community pride that make our downtown special.

Stop Type: 15-minute whistle stop
Best Viewing Area: Borough Parking Lot 1
Road Closure: Hanover Street from Industrial Boulevard to High Street, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
