On Monday night, 12 of your Norco volunteers traveled to Station 63 for a joint training session. The training focused on various vehicle extrication tactics, including removing windshields, doors, and roofs, as well as stabilizing vehicles. The car industry is constantly changing, so it’s crucial for our members to stay informed about the latest tactics and techniques for handling vehicle-related emergencies. We like to thank Liberty Fire Company of Spring City for hosting our members and for a great evening of training! 5/18/26

Engine 64-5 and Traffic 64 are currently assisting Berks Station 7 on a working garage fire in the 200 block of Mullen Road, Union Township, Berks County. Please avoid the area.

On Saturday, Station 64 was requested to assist Station 62 in a working garage fire in the 100 block of Anderson Road, East Coventry Township. Engine 64-5 (crew of 5) made the response. Chief 62 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire in the garage and requested the working fire dispatch. Engine 62-1 arrived as the first due engine and stretched a hand-line to begin fire suppression. Engine 64-5, as the second due engine, stretched a second hand-line to assist Engine 62-1 with fire suppression. Engine 62-5 assisted with manpower and sending its water to the scene. Members from Station 62 and 64 worked together quickly to bring the fire under control. Montco Station 98 and 51 also responded to assist. Once the fire was placed under control, crews began overhaul. Crews would remain on scene for approximately 2 hours before returning available. 5/16/26

Last evening, Station 64 and EMS were dispatched to W Schuylkill Rd & Catfish Ln for reports of an accident with injuries. Captain 64, Rescue 64, Engine 64-5, and Traffic 64 made the response. Shortly after dispatch, the incident was upgraded to a vehicle rescue with reports of one person trapped after the vehicle rolled multiple times. Captain 64 arrived on scene, confirming one victim trapped and established command. Rescue 64 arrived on scene shortly after and utilized rescue tools to remove the driver’s side door of the vehicle to access the patient. Engine 64-5 arrived on scene and assisted Rescue 64 while Traffic 64 shut down the roadway to protect members while they worked to free the patient. Crews were able to extricate the patient approximately 5 minutes after arrival before turning the patient over to EMS for transport. 64 units would clear the scene after operating for approximately 1.5 hours. 5/11/26

After extrication was completed, Engine 64-5 was released from the scene and responded to a reported building fire in the 1900 block of E High St, Lower Pottsgrove Township.

Traffic 64 is currently assisting Montco Station 58 on an auto accident involving a dump truck on Route 422 between Evergreen Road and Armandhammer Boulevard, Lower Pottsgrove Township. Please avoid the area as both directions of 422 are down to one lane.
