Now and always, we must honor the work of those who keep our nation going. We are nothing without those who use their skills to create, serve, build, and respond to the many needs in our communities. Thank you to all who labor!

โ€œLabor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.โ€ - Abraham Lincoln

Really appreciated the opportunity to tour the Ocugen facility and learn about the amazing work the team is doing here in Chester County to cure disease like degenerative blindness. Supporting the biomedical research industry here is helping to build a strong economy locally with high paying jobs and supporting businesses that are part of the supply chain for this industry!

Cost of Living Adjustment info for Pennsylvania's retired public servants:
For the first time in more than two decades, eligible retired teachers, state employees, and municipal police officers and firefighters are receiving a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to their pensions.

Signed into law as part of the FY 2026-27 budget (Act 21), it covers:
๐Ÿซ PSERS retirees (public school employees) who retired on or before 7/1/2001

๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš’ Retired municipal police officers and firefighters in municipalities enrolled in PMRS who began receiving benefits on or before 12/31/2020
๐Ÿ‘ช For SERS retirees specifically, a survivor or beneficiary may also qualify if the retiree passed away on or after 7/1/2026

More than 80,000 retirees statewide are expected to see an increase, retroactive to July 2026.
