All former Pottsboro students, teachers, staff, administrators and board members are invited. Cardinal gear and red and white are always a good choice, but this is a casual event, so come as you are!

It is HOMECOMING WEEK in Pottsboro, and tomorrow (9/9) we are taking Cardinal Pride to the streets!

Come out and help us line the parade route as our Cardinals make their way through town for the 2026 Homecoming Parade. Bring the family, wear your red and white, and help us make some noise for our students!

We will see you along the route and at the community pep rally tomorrow! GO CARDS!

Last night’s August School Board meeting included plenty to celebrate along with several important updates from across Pottsboro ISD.

The Board recognized our August Students and Teachers of the Month:

Middle School Student of the Month: Jaxon Hilliard
Middle School Teacher of the Month: Amy Meredith
High School Student of the Month: Amador Salas
High School Teacher of the Month: Jason South

We also heard from our Elementary PTA and received an incredible $59,000 donation from Cardinal Protection to help cover the costs of our School Resource Officer program. We are extremely grateful to Cardinal Protection and the community members who support their efforts. Their generosity helps us continue providing a safe and secure environment for our students and staff.

In district business, the Board approved the 2026-2027 budget and adopted a lower tax rate for the upcoming year.

The meeting also included firsthand updates on current district construction projects from representatives of Gallagher Construction and Huckabee Architects, giving the Board and those in attendance a closer look at the progress happening across the district.

There’s always something to learn at a School Board meeting. Staying informed is a great way to stay connected with what’s happening across PISD.

Our next regular Board meeting will be September 21 at 5:45 p.m.
