Today we celebrated top members in our program by treating them to a River Cats game in Sacramento. It was a beautiful day in the stadium to unwind before Finals Week.

Yesterday evening we had the opportunity to share a meal together and celebrate our Chapter members successes from this year at the End of the Year Celebration. We awarded Discovery, Greenhand and Chapter Degrees, Star and Proficiency Awards, along with Outstanding Supporters. At the end, we announced our future leadership team.

It was a lovely evening and we want to thank our families for supporting our members and attending.

Our FFA Chapter is gearing up for the Potter Valley Rodeo and Memorial Day Weekend Festivities! New this year is a BBQ Dinner Fundraiser on Friday night. We will be serving up Hot Dogs and Hamburgers down at the Rodeo Grounds.

Networking with professionals, building technical skills and self confidence are two things that we strive for students to build in our program.

Today we challenged Millie J to operate the riding lawn mower after learning the push mower yesterday. She excelled! In the shop, her and the rest of the Landscaping class have been working with Kevin Pierachini to learn how to maintain and fix small engines. Including mowers, weedeaters and rotorillers.

Also today, Maren N has been working with Larry Thompson on diagnosing and fixing the welders in our metal shop that have been out of commission.

These are just two examples of how we guide our students and how our community supports our program.
