Cottage street will be closed this morning between Market Street and Waverly Street as crews will be fixing a water break. You may still access the hospital via Grove street. Please seek alternate routes and we will update when the road is reopened. Thank you.

🎄✨ Light the Night Parade — Tomorrow! ✨🎄

A quick reminder that the Light the Night Parade will take place tomorrow evening, Saturday, December 6, 2025! Join the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Potsdam for an evening of holiday lights and community celebration.

Traffic delays and temporary road closures will begin around 6:00 PM, so please plan your travel accordingly.

🎁 Toys for Tots:
The Potsdam Police Department will have a Toys for Tots donation bin in Ives Park during the event. If you’d like to donate a new, unwrapped gift, feel free to drop one off while enjoying the festivities.

We hope to see everyone out tomorrow night to help kick off the holiday season!

Crews will be flushing fire hydrants next week beginning Sunday evening (9/21) through the end of the week. We’re advising if you have brown water to run your taps for a few minutes until it clears up. Thank you.

Public Works will be milling streets beginning the week of Monday June 2nd. Milling will begin Monday morning on the corner of Leroy Street and May Road, continuing past Bradley Drive. Tuesday and Wednesday, crews will be milling Haggerty Road, and Pleasant Street from Leroy Street to Waverly Street. Expect heavy traffic delays on these streets for your morning commute, and please use caution as machinery will be very active in these areas. Thank you.
