❄️ City of Poteau Winter Weather Road Plan ❄️

As winter weather moves into the area, the City of Poteau Street Department is monitoring conditions and pre-treating roadways in preparation for incoming weather to help improve safety and driving conditions. All equipment is ready and sitting on go!

🚜 Snowplowing will begin when accumulation starts!

Priority routes include:
• Dewey Avenue to the hospital
• Broadway
• All main north–south arterial streets
• All intersections, steep grades

While plowing, sand and salt will be applied at intersections to improve traction.

⚠️ Safety Reminders:
• Stay at least 200 feet behind snowplows
• Avoid travel during winter conditions unless necessary
• Street Department crews will work 12-hour shifts during the event

The City of Poteau Street Department is coordinating with Poteau Police, Poteau Fire, and LeFlore County Emergency Management to assist with emergency access as needed.

Stay safe, Poteau! ❄️🚜
