🦕⛺ Library Camp – Week 2 Recap! ⛺🦕

What an incredible second week of our "Unearth a Story" Summer Library Camp!

Our campers continued their prehistoric adventure by learning new skills, creating amazing projects, and working together as tribes. From outdoor survival activities and challenges to hands-on crafts and team competitions, every day was packed with learning, laughter, and fun.

This week our campers:
🦖 Practiced teamwork with their tribe members and buddies
🗺️ Learned navigation and map-reading skills
🎨 Created unique camp crafts to take home
🏕️ Built confidence through outdoor skills and problem-solving activities
🏆 Competed in exciting tribal challenges
📚 Discovered that every adventure begins with a great story

One of the best parts of camp continues to be watching our older campers encourage and help our younger campers. The friendships, leadership, and teamwork being built each day are just as important as the activities themselves.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff, volunteers, counselors, and families who help make Library Camp such a success. We couldn't do it without you!

We still have more adventures ahead as we continue digging into dinosaurs, paleontology, outdoor exploration, and of course... books!

We had a blast today at the PCPL Dino Summer Reading Camp!

🦖⛺ What an AMAZING first week at Unearth a Story Dino Camp! ⛺🦕
Our campers kicked off summer with four action-packed days of adventure, discovery, creativity, and teamwork!
Throughout the week, our tribes worked together to create their own identities, make camp bracelets, explore cave art, play team games, and build new friendships through our buddy system. Campers participated in dinosaur-themed activities, and enjoyed plenty of outdoor fun under the shade of our camp tent.
One of the best parts of camp has been watching our older campers mentor and encourage our younger campers as they work together through challenges and activities. The teamwork, kindness, and enthusiasm have been incredible to see!
A huge thank you to our camp counselors, volunteers, and staff who have worked so hard to make this experience special for our campers. We couldn't do it without you!
We are excited for even more adventures ahead as we continue to explore, create, learn, and "Unearth a Story" together throughout June.
