I want to take a moment to thank all of our community organizations who showed up, leaned in, and made Peace Week what it was. This work only moves when we move together—and y’all showed exactly what that looks like.
I’m especially grateful for the support from our local businesses who continue to invest in our young people and our community in real ways.
What stood out most this week is how important it is to create real opportunities for our youth—work opportunities, exposure activities, and spaces where they can see more for themselves. That kind of access can shift mindsets and change trajectories, and we have to keep building on that.
Be on the lookout for the Safe Summer calendar in the coming weeks. We’re just getting started.
Thank you for being part of this work. ✌️🩵
SN: A special shout out to Ruth Miller Shauniqua High (Cee Morgan) Marie Michelle, and Darrell Redmond and Pivot4Peace 757 for their hard work and dedication during Peace Week and Beyond. 🥰
