May is National Community Action Month and CAO of Scioto County is celebrating their 60+ year history of fighting poverty and empowering families. The purpose of Community Action Month is to honor the "War on Poverty" initiative that began in 1964 and to highlight the work of not only our local agency but all Community Action Agencies across the nation. It celebrates community-driven solutions, including early childhood education, energy assistance, and workforce development.

Our mission: CAO of Scioto County empowers individuals and strengthens families through advocacy and community partnerships.
