Thank you to our shipmates from Coast Guard Station Portsmouth Harbor who joined our boat crew last night for training.

We were able to practice towing and being towed, given both teams a chance to hone our skills. We’re grateful for the support from our active duty colleagues!

Another day, another evening patrol. Last night we performed a Maritime Observation Mission and conducted training for members preparing for new certifications. We launched from Portsmouth and journeyed out past Wood Island to practice search pattern exercises.

We give thanks to all who have given their lives for this country.

Today, the United States Coast Guard joins the entire Nation in honoring the brave men and women across all branches of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Whether on land, at sea, in the air, or in space, those who gave their lives in defense of our freedoms share a unified legacy of courage, service, and devotion. On this Memorial Day, we remember our fallen heroes in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.

We stand with their families, loved ones, and communities today and always. The weight of their sacrifice spans across every branch, and their memories will never be forgotten.

We are back out on the water for the season. Last night our boat crew participated in a Marine Observation Mission around Portsmouth Harbor. We also practiced man overboard drills, and got in some training to prepare two members for upcoming check rides.
