Tidewater Youth Services Foundation The TYS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 1991 to support our public partner, TYS Commission.

Public funds can only go so far. Thanks to community support, TYSF can support kids and families in important ways.

This Spring Break, we didn’t just hang out— youth from Westhaven Boys Home & Crisis Intervention Home learned how to save a life.

They participated in🩸Stop the Bleed® Training for hands-on skills, build real confidence and understand they can have a real impact in the community.

Thank you to Dawn from Portsmouth Health Department and Harrison from Virginia Beach Department of Public Health for teaching the STOP the BLEED class to our youth! We appreciate you both!

In honor of Volunteer Appreciation Month, we are shining a light on an incredible group of men who hosted a game night for the youth at Westhaven Boys Home. Through listening, guiding, and simply showing up, members of Genesis Lodge #677 helped our young people build confidence, skills, and hope for the future.

Thank you for being positive role models and for reminding our youth that they are seen, valued, and capable of great things.
