Over the last few days we have taken reports of residents receiving calls from a blocked number with the caller claiming to be an officer with the Newmarket Police Department. The caller goes on to tell the person they missed grand jury and have a warrant. Please know this is a scam. If you receive a call like this please hang up immediately. If you fell victim to this and gave the caller your personal information please reach out to us on next steps to protect yourself.
