In observance of Juneteenth, the Behavioral Health Board of Adams, Lawrence, and Scioto Counties will be closed today, Friday, June 19, 2026.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free—more than two years after the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation. This day serves as a time to reflect on our nation's history, celebrate freedom, and recognize the ongoing pursuit of equality, opportunity, and justice for all.

While our office is closed today, support is always available for those experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress.

TPC Wellness held their 2nd annual art show in May to help support Mental Health Awareness.

“Art expression empowers individuals, creates a space to find meaning, and is often a vehicle for healing,” TPC Wellness CEO, Elizabeth Cremeans said. “The artwork displayed throughout this year’s show reflected powerful stories of hope, resilience, recovery, and personal growth.”
