Guns
I try and be as accommodating as I can to those around me, but sometimes I find that difficult. I am a gun owner from a family of gun owners. I respect them very much because none of them have erasers on them. I know that some of our founding fathers wanted a state militia not a government army so they pushed through the right to own fi****ms. Our family has though the generations been kept alive by the use of fi****ms in taking game to feed us. Something we no longer need to do as our frontier forbears had to do.
If you want to preserve the right to have a firearm and use it properly that is fine, but there are far too many carrying one around in their pocket as though it were a handkerchef.
We already have all the laws we need to control guns in public places. All guns have one thing in common. They all need some type of explosive material on its way. That stuff is generally called gunpowder and is a hazerdous material. It cannot be transported on public roads or stored on puublic propertt without securing a permit.
Now it seems to me that every gun that is loaded and ready to be used has gunpowder in it. A person who carries a loaded gun on to a public road or on public property is in violation of trannsporting gunpowder without a permit. An officer making a search and finding a loaded gun simply removes all containers with gunpowder in them (those are called bullets) arrests the person for transporting gunpowder without a permit and when the individual is released the empty gun is returned to them.
You are on your private property, fine shoot all that is legal all around you on your property. If your nneighbor has allowed you to obtain a permit to shoot a gun on his property, shoot it over there also. Just do not carry any gunpowder on to a public road or public property as that stuff id dangerious.
Yea, there are some challenges to make this work anf be reasonable about it but at least you won't be trying to take my Great Grandfather's 38-56 Wicnester away from me and my family caus you are going to get into a fight then. Oh, by the way, it has no bullets in since 1948 excep three test bullets fired by a gunsmith in peoving that the rifle was still in good working order. Tight now the gun and its hard to find bullets are abiut 700 miles apart and my arms are not that long.
Leaved my guns and me alone on myh property. Jail me if I am carrying bullets on me because gunpowder is dangerous and needs a permit to be carried around, You know that stuff is not pocket change?.
