It was such an amazing experience watching students be so excited. 5 teams from the 3 middle schools competed in a Stem Club Vex IQ competition.

1st place
Waters Middle School

When I got the news of STEAM day I added it to my calendar. Shortly after my son let me know that he was participating and would be “racing robots”.

It was also impactful to have the high school teachers share with them what they could expect at the high school level.

It was such an engaging day. We were cheering like we were at a stadium and that’s the part I loved!!!

Congratulations again to 1st place to “my” old middle school W.E. Waters.

Good job by all of the students!!!!

We also got to see aunt Jacque’ and her hoola hoops.

There were so many exhibits. Iddy also got a chance to tour the Starbase mobile classroom.

Reminder from my new “15 year old”, my honor student and track star…

1️⃣5️⃣days til ELECTION day!!!

No. 2️⃣ on the ballot.

While being on the board, I’m proud of my track record as it relates to voting & supporting our staff, teachers and students.

I’m excited for an opportunity to continue the work started. I’m excited to see our staff get on the correct scale as it relates to pay. There’s so many initiatives started!

Being a product of PPS and a parent of PPS students, I have a vested interest in the overall wellbeing of our school system!

I’m excited for the expansion of our CTE program and am hopeful we can add the maritime industry to our lists of programs!

I’ve raised a few “success stories” when it comes to PPS students so I know what we’re capable of. I've seen it happen!

One of the things I always say… I raise my children in a way that they can stand in a room with anyone and be afforded the same opportunity! That’s my stance on how I’m advocating for our students. We want to put them in a position to be afforded the same opportunities as their counterparts!
