Gas leaf blowers are prohibited within the city of Portland from January to September 2026 and in 2027.

Portland's gas leaf blower policy went into effect January 1, 2026. The policy applies to all property owners in Portland. If you are a homeowner or other property owner in the city of Portland, you are responsible for ensuring that gas leaf blowers are not used on your property.

To report a violation, please use the gas leaf blower complaint form. You can also report violations by calling 311. Property owners that are found to be in violation will receive a warning about the policy. Printable information sheets are available.

La política de Portland sobre sopladores de hojas que funcionan con gasolina entró en vigor el 1 de enero de 2026. Esta política se aplica SOLO a los propietarios de inmuebles, no a los profesionales del paisajismo ni administradores de propiedades que hayan contratado.

Para denunciar una infracción, utilice el formulario de queja por uso de sopladores de hojas que funcionan con gasolina. También puede denunciar infracciones llamando al 311. Portland’s climate future depends on strong community leadership. The Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF) has launched a cohort-based Capacity Building Program for Portland-based nonprofit organizations advancing community-led climate action. Selected organizations may receive:
• Up to $150,000 per year for three years
• Internal operations and systems support
• Capacity building support services at no cost to participants
• Peer to peer cohort
This program strengthens organizational infrastructure, leadership and internal systems. The first step is a short eligibility pre-application. No project proposal or detailed budget required.
