NAYA Family Center Endorses Portland Parks Levy!

Our parks are more than places to visit, they’re living parts of this land that have cared for our communities long before Portland was a city. These green spaces are where we gather for ceremony, teach our children, honor our elders, and stay connected to one another. Our parks are reminders of the land’s generosity and our shared responsibility to care for it.

Right now, Portland Parks & Recreation faces deep cuts that could impact our parks and end programs our communities rely on.

That’s why NAYA Family Center is urging a YES vote on Measure 26-260 this November Special Election. This levy keeps our parks safe, clean, and open to all.

Why do working families support Measure 26-260? Because it will:
✅ Protect hundreds of good-paying union jobs for frontline workers; and provide summer jobs for young people.
✅ Support stable employment for maintenance staff, coaches, lifeguards, gardeners, and park rangers who keep our parks safe and clean.
✅ Ensure parks have the resources to hire a workforce that reflects our city’s diversity and provide opportunities that do not require a four-year degree.
