Small Business Enhancement Grant Spotlight: Dairy Queen!

Through DMA’s Small Business Enhancement Grant, Dairy Queen completed parking lot improvements to create a safer, more accessible, and welcoming space for customers.
Upgrades included refreshed pavement markings, clearly defined parking spaces, and designated accessible parking areas. These improvements not only enhance the property but also contribute to a safer and more vibrant Division Midway District.

We’re excited to continue supporting local businesses and investing in our community!

Last Saturday, we brought the community together for a fun-filled Play Street & Plaza Activation in partnership with PBOT and Dairy Queen!

We transformed the parking lot into a welcoming community space where families could play, connect, and learn about transportation safety while activating the plaza space for community use.

A huge thank-you to PBOT for providing the trailer and supporting the event, and to Dairy Queen for letting us use their parking lot and providing ice cream for our community! 🍦

We’re grateful to our partners, volunteers, and everyone who came out and helped make the space come alive. We look forward to creating more opportunities to activate public spaces and bring our community together!

This conference will feature inspiring conversations, practical ideas, and three concurrent breakout sessions, allowing attendees to choose the topics that matter most to them. From improving public safety and creating vibrant public spaces to fostering economic vitality in East Portland and advancing equitable transportation, there will be something for everyone.

We are also honored to welcome JT Flowers as our keynote speaker, who will share insights on creating stronger, more connected communities.
