PICMET’24 (Portland International Center for Management of Engineering and Technology) Conference will be held at Hilton Portland Downtown Hotel (921 SW Sixth Avenue) in Portland, Oregon - USA) on August 4-8, 2024. The theme is "Technology Management in the Artificial Intelligence Era". Research Papers and Industry Applications on every aspect of technology management will be included.

The deadline for up-to-200-word abstracts is December 8, 2023. Submissions can be made on-line at www.picmet.org.

Artificial Intelligence is upon us. Its applications to education, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, transportation and other industries are rapidly changing the world we live in. AI is performing tasks and assisting humans to excel in their jobs. Consequently, economy, industry and the society as a whole are becoming radically different from what they are.

While this transformative technological change can create an unprecedented economic growth, cure the "incurable" diseases and stabilize the environmental ecosystem, it can also cause alarming disruptions if not managed properly. As always, if we cannot manage technology, we will be slaves to it.

Proper technology management includes the management of not only the technical system, but also the economic, environmental, social, political, ethical and regulatory aspects of technology. That is the focus of PICMET'24 Conference.

PICMET is looking forward to bringing together the Technology Management community and the AI community in August 2024
