Oregon has successfully voted by mail for 30 years. Join LWVPDX on Sept. 14 for a special community education conversation with Oregon Secretary of State Tobias Read and Director of Multnomah County Elections Tim Scott about the actions they have and are taking to combat federal attacks on our election system, protect voter privacy, counter disinformation, and ensure that our elections remain fair, accessible, and secure.
This program is free and open to the public, hosted at Wood Village City Hall and livestreamed on Zoom and cable TV. Space for the in-person event is limited; advance registration is necessary to attend in person or to receive the Zoom link. Learn more and register at lwvpdx.org/public-events.

Democracy works best when we show up together! On Sunday, Aug. 8, join us for Unite & Rise for Voting Rights, a nationwide day of action honoring the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. We're gathering in Laurelhurst Park to write letters to potential Multnomah County voters and building momentum to protect voting rights ahead of the midterm elections. PSA 📣 Under Oregon law, political parties can choose to have open or closed primaries — and most of them choose closed. If you want to vote in partisan races in this May’s Primary Election, you have until Tuesday 4/28 to register with an Oregon political party. Your vote is your voice ... use it!
