𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹, 𝗢𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗻! ☀️⚠️

With a major weekend heatwave heading our way and record-high temperatures set to hit near 100°F across the region, the risk of heat-related illness is high. The Oregon Health Authority is reminding everyone that these illnesses are preventable if we take the right precautions.

📞 Contact 211 for real-time information on local cooling centers, emergency shelters, and community resources.
🌐 Check your local county’s website for specific, up-to-date regional heat safety updates, cooling site locations, and localized alerts.

Remember to drink plenty of water, limit outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day, and check in on your neighbors and loved ones.

Our community shines brightest when everyone has the freedom to live authentically. 🏳️‍🌈

This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the love, joy, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. United Way of the Columbia-Willamette is committed to standing alongside our partners to break down systemic barriers and champion equity for all.

Our Early Learning Washington County hub had a blast hosting local families for another wonderful STEAM Kids Wonderland event.

STEAM activities are a fantastic way to build accessible, supportive spaces where families can play, grow, and learn side by side. Seeing our community connect through hands-on learning is what it’s all about! We had over 80 children in the space, alongside parents, all expanding their curiosity with STEAM-focused activities facilitated by our ELWC team.

Thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work in designing this enriching experience, and to all the families who brought their energy and curiosity! 💛
