Celebrate! Loved Bookmobile day as a kid. Watch out, if I ever find one on the cheap, I'm taking my LFL on the road!!!

Today is National Bookmobile Day! Started in 1905 by Mary Titcomb to serve the Washington County, Maryland area. In 1912 the same county introduced the first motorized bookmobile pictured here!

In 2009, I put a model of a one-room schoolhouse on a post in my front yard with a sign that said, "FREE BOOKS" as a tribute to my mother June, a former school teacher who loved reading.
