In order for people to believe that change is possible, it's super helpful to have visualizations of what the future could look like. One of my goals is to redesign the major roads in Portland with slower traffic, cycling/multiuse paths, and habitat for birds, creating longitudinal parks throughout the city. So, in 2018, I worked with Hans Breaux to make this 3d visualization of an improved Bedford Street and Forest Avenue in Portland. We used the prize money we won from my "City of Birds and Birdsong" submittal the PSA Complete City design competition. You can drag the image around to see a 360 degree view.

One can see why trees are so important to not only the environment but adds 'livability' to urban areas. In the first photo Morning Street view of Portland Harbor is framed by a lush canopy of green. The second & third photos of recent work at the Rand Road Tech Park where crews will be installing a new gas line to Westbrook Street along with thinning remnant forest areas between the old C&O canal / CMP power lines & Westbrook Street.
Goals include improved health and reducing risk trees near residential backyards - keeping the 'forest' in Forest City.
