Green Lents Community Tool Library The tool library is a free service for neighbors in and around Lents. Open Saturdays 10-1, and Wednesdays, 6-8pm. related questions, share photos of your D.I.Y.

We also house a Seed Library and host monthly Garden Swaps and Garden and Repair Workshops seasonally. Green Lents Community Tool Library is a a tool library run by a non-profit called Green Lents. Our mission at Green Lents is to provide leadership, education, and skill building opportunities while supporting community-led projects that promote a culture of sharing and sustainability here in our

community. Our hours are:

Wednesdays 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Green Lents Community Tool Library (GLCTL) functions like a book library, membership is free, and we welcome everyone to join and borrow these community tools. Covid protocols - masks required, 3 members at a time, socially distanced, contact-less check-out and drop-off. We also house a Seed Library and host monthly Garden Swaps and Workshops during the Spring and Summer. This group is intended to be a forum where Green Lents Volunteers and our community members can share their Do-It-Yourself "D.I.Y" projects and inspire others to build resiliency and sustainability in our community. Feel free to post photos of your time as a volunteer at the Tool Library, share interesting articles, ask D.I.Y. home, garden, or community projects, or just check out what your neighbors are creating. Welcome! We CAN do this TOGETHER.

"The tool library has helped me and my neighbors achieve multiple projects this year with less financial impact. This is especially helpful for my family as my partner has recently become disabled and is currently unable to do work of any kind. With the help of the library, I've replaced two windows, insulated a portion of my walls, and removed a failing trellis structure and it's footings. A neighbor has redone a garage door seal, and another has created a beautiful wood/resin tabletop for their home. These are just the projects I know about!"

Our librarians attempted to open the library today and were met with a thick sheet of ice holding our gate closed and a treacherous passage to the door beyond. All tools loans will be extended 1 week.

If you have an urgent need for repair tools, please contact us here or email [email protected].
