Join us on Thursday, Sept. 17, at NW Events & Environments in Hillsboro for this inaugural fundraising event, where you'll hear directly from Boys & Girls Aid youth and staff about how our programs are directly impacting our communities by working to end the cycle of foster care and youth homelessness in Washington County and beyond.

Thank you to Lam Research Corporation for donating 120 handmade blankets to Boys & Girls Aid! During a company-wide week of service, their employees hand-tied every single blanket and included a special message of encouragement reminding each recipient that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by a caring community. We're so grateful for their support!

SPOTTED: An ESCO bucketful of books! After a two-week “Keep Portland Reading!” themed drive, ESCO Division customer account representative, Courtney Morrow, loaded up her car brimming with bags of books, generously donated by Portland employees, for a special delivery to Boys & Girls Aid.

This book drive stemmed from a desire to increase access to educational, entertaining and inspirational reading material that local children could enjoy this summer. What better way than through the gift of a good book! Our drive is one of many causes we support annually alongside our nonprofit partner, Boys & Girls Aid.

Young people deserve the chance to make choices for themselves. However, for youth who are in foster care or experiencing homelessness, many choices are made for them: what they wear, what they eat, where they live.

When you join Boys & Girls Aid's Summer Gift Card Drive, you are letting youth in our programs know that their choices matter. A donated gift card gives young people a chance to purchase something for themselves, all on their own. Whether it's a new pair of shoes, lunch from their favorite restaurant, or an afternoon at the zoo, the choice is theirs!
