Here is an observed radar loop from 7:30-8:30 AM PDT on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Many of you are waking up to a rainy morning. Locations observing rain right now can expect periods of rain to continue for much of the day before rain begins to slowly taper off in the late afternoon and evening. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible today, and a few have already been observed between Salem and Eugene earlier this morning.

🌦️🌀We're loving the meteorological eye candy off the Oregon coast this morning in the form of a meso-low! Low pressure overhead will keep showers and a chance (15-30%) of pop-up thunderstorms in the forecast today. Remember, when thunder roars go indoors!

Around midday, one of our trained weather spotters recorded a video of broad rotation within a thunderstorm near eastern Columbia County, Oregon. This was the same cell which produced a funnel cloud that prompted a Tornado Warning. If you live in Columbia County and received any damage or took any video/photos, please let us know.
