Flat tires happen, but they don’t have to ruin your ride!

Join Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT)’s Portland By Cycle team at East Portland Sunday Parkways this Sunday, June 28, for a free Fix a Flat demonstration. These hands-on, 20-minute sessions will walk you through the basics of repairing a flat tire so you can ride with confidence.

Demo times:
• 11:30 a.m.
• 12:00 p.m.
• 12:30 p.m.
• 1:00 p.m.
• 1:40 p.m.

Join Portland Sunday Parkways, presented by Kaiser Permanente, in East Portland on June 28 from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. for a day of walking, biking, rolling, and community connection on car-free streets.

The East Portland 4-mile route will feature Ventura Park, Lincoln Park, Parklane Park, and, for the very first time, Verdell Burdine Rutherford Park as a new addition to the East route in collaboration with the Centennial School District and the City of Gresham - Government.

Explore parks and neighborhoods filled with vendor marketplaces, community booths, free family-friendly activities, and live entertainment.

Heading to the event from Gresham? Join the City of Gresham's "bike bus" (a group ride led by experienced riders) to the event! This ride will depart at 11 a.m. from Gresham City Hall and will end along the East Sunday Parkways event route at Verdell Burdine Rutherford Park.

What a way to kick off the 2026 Portland Sunday Parkways season presented by Kaiser Permanente!

Southwest Portland showed up yesterday with an estimated 10,500 participants (a 17% increase from last year) spending a beautiful day walking, biking, rolling, playing, shopping, and connecting on car-free streets through SW’s rolling hills.

Baby goats, face painting, balloon art, live music, fitness classes, and busy vendor marketplaces kept the energy high all day. We loved seeing so many neighbors, families, and friends enjoying the day together while supporting local businesses and community organizations.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, partnered, and helped make the first event of the season such a success. Mark your calendars for our next event in East Portland on June 28!
