🎲 Problem gambling affects about 1% of Oregonians — but it's one of the most under-talked-about behavioral health challenges out there.
It can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or income. And like other health conditions, it's treatable.
Signs it may be time to talk to someone:
🔹 Gambling to cope with stress or emotions
🔹 Chasing losses
🔹 Hiding gambling from loved ones
🔹 Feeling unable to stop
Volunteers of America Oregon offers free, confidential outpatient support for problem gambling. Call (503) 228-9229.
You are more than this struggle. 💙

Our Family Relief Nursery provides so much more than child care. Our FRN serves families in Multnomah County with children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old experiencing stressors associated with child abuse and neglect. Offering a range of positive interventions like parent education, a therapeutic early childhood classroom environment, supportive home visits, and referrals to other VOA Oregon services and our constellation of community partners, our trained FRN staff are sensitive to the needs of struggling families.

Did you know that juvenile detention isn't the only option for youth involved in the justice system? 💙

VOA Oregon's Community Monitoring program offers a less traumatic alternative — allowing young people to remain connected to their families, schools, and communities while still being held accountable.

Because where a young person heals matters.

The Community Monitoring Program is a partnership with Multnomah and Clackamas Counties' Department of Community Justice (DCJ) Juvenile Services Division and that permits some at-risk youth, who would otherwise be held in detention, to remain in the community under the supervision of Youth Monitors. The CMP is a central component to Multnomah County’s Juvenile Detention Reform Initiative (JDAI).
