UPDATE 5/19, 4:45 PM: As of 3:00 PM this afternoon, all outages attributed to yesterday's storm have been restored, except for one location where the heavy winds caused two broken poles. Our crews are working to make repairs and turn the lights back on at that location now. Great work to our lineworkers, our engineering/dispatch team, our customer service team, and everyone else who came together to restore power to our membership. And as always, a huge thank you to our members for your patience and support through our storm recovery efforts!
UPDATE, 5/19, 9:15 AM: We are down to about 140 member outages, and our crews remain hard at work to restore power to those members as quickly as possible. Power restoration is a true team effort, and in addition to our line crews, we want to shout out our engineering/dispatch team for the long hours they are putting in behind the scenes, and our customer service team for manning the phones. Working hard together for our members - that’s the Cooperative Way! Thank you for your patience as we finish up this storm recovery work!
UPDATE, 11:30 PM: Our crews continue to make great progress, and we currently stand at just under 550 member outages. Our guys are still working to restore power to as many members as possible yet tonight, but if your power is still out by 1 AM, unfortunately it will likely remain out overnight. Our estimated time of full restoration for all outages is by 4 PM tomorrow, and we’re working hard to try to beat that estimate for our membership. Stay safe tonight!
UPDATE, 9:30 PM: Our crews have been hard at work since the storm hit this afternoon, and they have us down to just over 830 member outages, with some remaining large outages close to restoration. We are striving to restore power to as many members as possible yet tonight, but we are still looking at tomorrow afternoon for full restoration to our entire membership. This storm packed a powerful punch, with 80 MPH straight line winds that damaged not only our system but also some of the larger transmission lines that feed our substations. Please continue to stay safe in the aftermath - there are several downed trees and debris throughout the impacted areas of our service territory. Thanks again for your patience as we work towards full restoration!
UPDATE, 7:15 PM: Our crews are making good progress, and we currently stand at just over 1,300 member outages. At this time, we expect to restore power to the majority of impacted members yet this evening, but unfortunately, we are anticipating that some members will remain out of power overnight. Please make a back-up plan for tonight if needed. We are working to restore power to all members as quickly as we can, and we do expect to have everyone back on by tomorrow afternoon. We will post another update at 9:15 PM tonight. Thank you for your patience as we work our way through the damage caused by this severe storm system!
