Linktr.ee/nayafam The Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA Family Center) was informally founded by parent volunteers in 1974 and became a 501(c)(3) organization in 1994. NAYA Family Center serves self-identified Native American youth and their families throughout the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area. The Native American Youth and Family Center works to enrich the lives of our Native youth and families through education, community involvement, and culturally specific programming. We have provided educational services, cultural arts programming, and direct support to reduce poverty to the Portland metropolitan area's American Indian and Alaska Native community for over 30 years.

Mid-term elections decide the power balance in Congress and the Senate. Every election is an opportunity to create change. Native voters help determine their grandchildrens’ futures. Voting is one way to ensure our voices are heard by policy and decision makers.

The general election is Nov 3, 2026, but voting early is highly recommended!
Citizens in Oregon and Washington can vote in person or by mail, but it’s important to know when.

Key Dates Oregon:
October 27: Last recommended day to return ballots by mail.
November 3: Deposit your ballot in an official drop box by 8 p.m.

October 26: Online and mail registrations must be received 8 days before Election Day.
November 3: General Election - Deposit your ballot in an official drop box by 8 p.m.

Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) seeks a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will provide strategic leadership and oversight of core operations functions, including HR/People, IT, Facilities, Capital Planning, and the systems and infrastructure that nurture this vibrant and diverse community-based organization serving the Portland metro area’s Native community. The ideal COO is a strategic leader who pairs systematic thinking with a relational approach. They can see the big picture while ensuring that complex initiatives move forward with clear ownership, realistic timelines, strong coordination, and accountability. They anticipate challenges before they become urgent, nurture people and culture, and build the infrastructure necessary to support NAYA's continued growth and long-term sustainability. The COO will work closely with the CEO and C-Suite to strengthen organizational alignment, advance strategic priorities, and create the conditions for NAYA’s people and programs to thrive.
