For the second year in a row, we are honored to contribute to and assemble Minute for Mom Kits and get them delivered in time for Mother’s Day. 💐

As an all-women organization, we recognize the many roles women and caregivers carry every single day, whether that’s being a mom, a friend, or a partner, while still trying to care for themselves too. This initiative is one small way we hope to support and celebrate these incredible individuals in our community. ✨

Maine Needs provides these Minute for Mom Kits to parents and caregivers to promote self-care, mental health, and overall well-being. This project aligns with our JLP focus area of supporting mental health initiatives in our local community. Being a caregiver often means you are putting others first. Through these kits, we hope to encourage those same caregivers to take a few moments for themselves to fill their own cup. Every donation you make benefits our local community!

Last week, a few of our active members opened up their homes to host our March Neighborhood General Member Meetings.

These cozy, more casual gatherings gave us the chance to slow down, catch up with familiar faces, connect more meaningfully, and build community.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing hosts for creating such warm and welcoming spaces. 💕

Thank you to everyone who attended our March Game & Greet JLP Recruiting event hosted in Portland. Our Membership Committee gave prospective new members of JLP an opportunity to meet active members and learn more about the League’s events, social gatherings, volunteer opportunities, and impact made on the Portland community.
