We are finally up and running with a website! Be sure to check out tedwheelersucks.com to learn more about why we think Ted Wheeler sucks, and why we think you should write in Teressa L Raiford this November. Have a good day, and share the site to friends and family living in Portland!

(We’re hoping the image Facebook uses for the link updates, as we did not mean to make Teressa the image shown when the link is shared, but oh well. We might as well get used to seeing this face, because hopefully she can unseat Ted in November and get us all involved in the changes this city needs.)

Quanice Hayes should have celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday. He was only 17 when he was killed. He was unarmed and on his knees when he was shot three times by officer Andrew Hearst. An officer who still holds his job on the Portland Police Bureau, and was defended by city attorneys who said it was Quanice’s mother’s and Quanice’s own fault that he died, not the fault of Portland Police officer Andrew Hearst, who essentially murdered the teenager.

City attorneys and the police are both under Ted Wheeler’s authority.

Attorneys who sued the city on behalf of Hayes' estate are urging a judge to throw out the city's defense, accusing the city of "character assassination.''

A flash back to almost two months ago, before the feds were here. As usual, Ted was talking the talk, but not walking the walk. Also, in this article, we get a disturbing quote from the Portland Police Deputy Chief Chris Davis, saying “As far as a ban on CS gas, what that would do for us would have us have to figure out a different way to accomplish our objective... The alternative would be higher levels of force that we’d like to be able to avoid.”

Of course Ted had absolutely nothing to say about a Deputy Chief threatening to use more force if he’s not able to use a gas that has been banned in warfare.

Last night, Friday June 5, Mayor Ted Wheeler spoke to protesters at Chapman Square after listening to their concerns about retaliatory police response on crowds, particularly tear gas, over the past week, saying “I do not like the tear gas, I think it’s ugly, it is not focused enough.” He adde...

These are some of the results you can expect from Ted Wheeler’s Portland Police if you throw up a peace sign to protesters, even if all you’re doing is passing by.

Your friendly reminder that the Portland Police, under the commission of Ted Wheeler, have been overreacting to protests since Ted first got into office. This story was the second time in his first month as mayor and police commissioner that he allowed and defended using munitions on protesters. And this was just the beginning. Ted Wheeler has never tried to deescalate with his police, and never thinks they overreact. It’s a pattern, and we shouldn’t put up with it anymore, let’s vote this guy out in November.

Mayor Ted Wheeler said he believed the police use of crowd control weapons was appropriate Friday night, but others have complained that officers use of force was excessive. One coupe celebrating their anniversary were struck by rubber pellets from police sting-ball grenades as they walked back to t...
