This week, members of Company 2 conducted a pump testing and drafting drill using both the old Engine 2 and the new Engine 2. The crew drafted water from a pond, allowing members to compare the capabilities of the two apparatus and ensure everyone is familiar with the operation of our newest Engine.

On Saturday May 16 at 12 noon Portland Engine Company 2 will Welcome our New Engine. After almost 4 years we will have a traditional "Wetdown" and push in ceremony at Company 2 594 Main St in Portland. Out Mutual Aid Partners will assist in the Wetdown of the New Engine. The public is invited to attend.

July 25th 2025! Portland CT Fire Company 2 is putting on a Steak Dinner! At the Portland Fire Co2 Picnic Grounds from 6-9pm we will be serving Steak Dinners to anyone who is interested. Tickets will be $30 for adults and $15 for kids it is a BYOB, this dinner includes a 12 oz strip, Corn on the Cob, and a Baked Potato!!
