Update as of 8 PM. The roadway has been reopened. 

‼️‼️Route 50 is closed at Old Gick North/ Ingersoll Road and Perry Road due to power lines down. Avoid the area. ‼️‼️

🚧 Please follow all directions from emergency responders.
Firefighters, law enforcement officers, and utility crews may close roads or redirect traffic to keep everyone safe. These restrictions are in place for your protection and the safety of those working at the scene.

A little patience and awareness can prevent serious injuries and help emergency crews do their jobs safely.

Happy 4th of July from the Greenfield Fire District!

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the sacrifices made by those who came before us, and the incredible communities we're honored to serve every day.

From all of us at the Greenfield Fire District we wish you and your family a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day.

If you're celebrating with fireworks, please remember:
🎆 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
🔥 Keep a hose or bucket of water nearby.
🚒 Never allow children to handle fireworks.
🚗 Never discharge fireworks near homes, vehicles, or dry grass.
📞 Call 911 immediately if an emergency occurs.

PORTER CORNERS- A Committal Service with full military honors for William “Bill” Richmond, who passed away May 28, 2026, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.
Following the service, a celebration of Bill’s life will be held at his daughter’s home at 390 Bockes Road, Porter Corners, NY.
